Venice

Venice moves at the pace of a footstep. There are no cars are to be found in the center because steps are everywhere. It's a wonderful and restful thing to be somewhere that moves this slowly. Of course there are many tourists who flood into Venice daily to enjoy its beauty, but just a few steps away from the beaten path and all is well again. Or one could escape to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, as one friend did.
