Memoirs
The Memoirs of Madame de la Tour du Pin are fascinating, and not just because her family had connections at the court of Louis XVI. She lived through the French Revolution, lost her father in the Reign of Terror, spent years in hiding, and even lived in New Hampshire. She returned to France where she lived her final years.
I made a number of watercolors for a film project based on her memoirs.
