For my film project based on the Memoir, I wanted an image that could pass as the entrance for a grand estate in 18th-century France. This was perfect.

When Madame de la Tour du Pin was a young girl of sixteen, she was told about the owner of a nearby estate. She caught a glimpse of it one day as they pased by. She knew she would marry him.
