The armory had me fascinated the moment I started looking at it as an opportunity for art.

A couple of years ago at the Museo Correr, in Venice, I saw this 15th c. ceramic plate, the final one in a sequence about a traveling minstrel. As the French writer and journalist Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr said, "The more things change the more they stay the same."
