I never thought I'd end up at an Oktoberfest, but so it was. It was the first time in Munich, and it seemed necessary to go, a cultural duty.
Inscription on back of card:
It was my first visit to Munich, and it coincided with the first day of Oktoberfest. I started the evening with dinner in a lively beer hall, and then I headed over to the festival grounds where they've held Oktoberfest since 1810. Lots of rides, bratwurst, and beer, and everyone in a dirndl or lederhosen—except me.
