The ordered precision of artefacts in this display case was oddly soothing. Coloring it with colored pencils—layering up to eight or ten colors in a single spot—was also soothing. It took forever.
Inscription on back of card:
Giovanni Barracco's lifelong passion for ancient scuptures was fostered by his birth in Calabria, with its ancient ruins, and his classical education, and then fine-tuned by his friendshi with Giuseppe Fiorelli, the future director of the excavations at Pompeii and the Naples Archaeological Museum.
This card is blank inside.

The work's title, the year it was made, the medium, the artist's name, and contact info.
There may be an inscription, which is subject to change.
