No matter where I looked I saw a memorable detail when I visited the Museo Altemps, but the last thing I expected was to see a pair of sculptures sitting on a lintel.

Whether or not you like classical sculpture, you will be the end of a visit to the Museo Altemps. Statues are everywhere, even sitting on the occasional lintel. It's a wonderful mix: classical sculptures, Renaissance architectural details, and trompe l'oeil frescoes.
