I'm normally not interested in armories, but the one at the Grand Master's Palace intrigued me. It's maybe 70 meters long and full of display cases, from one end to the other. There are pikes, swords, pistols, arquebuses, and more, not to mention the suits of armor and chainmail, the various helmets, etc.
Inscription on the back of card:
At the time of the Great Siege of Malta, firearms were not yet reliable. A humid day could mean the gunpowder would not ignite. These pistols from the Grand Master's Palace in Valletta are most likely from the 17th century.
