I went up to Cimiez to see the Franciscan Monastery, but after I found it closed I spent a half hour in the cemetery looking at the beautiful memorials.

There is an old cemetery in the Cimiez district, on a hill above Nice, where one can find a few persons of interest. I found Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy. There's also a 16th-century Franciscan monastery next door, but it was shut the day I visited.
