Every garment starts off as white silk that is hand-dyed with procion dyes, then designed into original, one-of-kind, wearable art, no two garments will ever be the same. The variations in the colors speaks to the uniqueness of each piece derived thru the dyeing process, low-immersion. I use a serger to sew the rolled hem stitches. The rolled hem stitches are decorative, functional and elegant. This style of sewing adds a lot of draping to the garment or scarf.
The fabric is dyed in small batches, so there is residual dye. This garment is a washable silk, should be washed in cold water, hung to dry and ironed using steam. I recommend using a gentle detergent such as Ecover.
