Hand-dyed silk scarf
Hand-dyed silk scarf
This one-of-a kind, silk scarf was hand-dyed using mx-procion dyes using a low-immersion dye process which uses as little water as possible. The variations in the colors is intentional, it speaks to the uniqueness of each piece. I use a serger to sew the rolled hem stitches. The rolled hem stitches are decorative, functional and elegant. This style of sewing adds a lot of draping to the garment or scarf.
The fabric is dyed in small batches, so there is residual dye. This garment is a washable silk, should be washed in cold water, hung to dry and ironed using steam. I recommend using a gentle detergent such as Ecover.
This turquoise scarf is sewn with blue and purple threads. Please indicate which size you would like.
